English will be the official language and the language of instruction in EGSPJ

SECOND LANGUAGES are Tamil and Hindi. These languages will be given equal importance till standard Five. After Std Five, Tamil and Hindi will be the optional subjects for second language.

SPECIAL LANGUAGE under this the child can learn other than the above three languages which is Optional to meet the global competition. At present French will be given. The School aims to give support to learn Mandarin in future.

Examinations

While we recognize that examinations are helpful in ascertaining what children know and teaching them accordingly, the school is not ‘too much’ examination- oriented.

The following points summarize the EGSPJ ‘s policy on examinations.
  • The school is committed towards making examinations and student preparations for them as effective and realistic as possible.
  • The structure and content of the examination are determined by teachers based on the requirements of the CBSE syllabus and the school’s curriculum and assessment policies.

The EGSPJ Student Assessment and Reporting System provides information about the student’s progress to the teacher, the student and the parents on a regular and systematic basis.

Students assessment takes place regularly and is both formative and summative. There ia a grading system for assignments and periodic tests given to the students. The presentations and projects by the students will also be graded. These grades have equal weight- age with the annual examination and will appear on the reports.

Children of lower classes (Pre-primary to Class Five) do not have formal examinations, but they will be assessed for achievement levels periodically and at the end of the year.

After Hours Independent
